COMMISSIONS

For something special it is possible to opt for a commission, thereby you have more choice of what the image is and the fabric used. Normally the client would have an idea of what fabric / flag or person they would like on the finished artwork. Past commissions have been for individuals, companies and brands. A small flag starts at £2500 framed. A mid size 5 x 3 foot flag, which includes the standard sized vintage Embroidered American flags, are around £3900-£4250.

Whether you commission the artist direct or through a gallery the price will be the same. If you prefer to commission the artist through a gallery or agent - the gallery/agent will take control of liasiing with you which images and ideas you have, show you the digital sketches, get your feedback and set a payment plan. If commissioning direct with the artist - the artist will liase with you instead.

Usually a small downpayment is payable to start the commission and then 50% is payable once digital images are approved and the final balance is payable on completion. You can opt to have the work framed by Pam's specialist framer and delivered to you.

Waiting List

The artist takes on a small number of commissions per year. If you would like to be put on the waiting list for commissions please contact info@pamglew.co.uk

CARE OF WORK

Framed
The work is mostly sold framed, and glazed which protects the work from dust. As with any artwork keep out of direct sunlight, and also away from direct heat

Unframed

If you have an unframed piece they are also easy to care for, as with any artwork keep out of direct sunlight and also away from direct heat, just the same as any canvas painting. Most of the work is made with dye and bleach and all the pigments used are colour fast, light fast and often washable. If you need your unframed textile to be cleaned, please contact a reliable restorer or the artist stating the original artwork's title and the artist will let you know whether your work is fully washable.
