Pam Glew, born in 1978, is a contemporary British artist who uses unique bleaching techniques with vintage fabrics and flags to create her strong cinematic paintings. Her current series 'culture clash' references eclectic found imagery, using anything from film noir to contemporary portraiture. Her main objective is to find something beautiful in an image which stems from an unlikely source such as horror films or war photography. The result is often compellingly beautiful and yet has some element of vulnerability. She has exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally in over 60 exhibitions. She had 3 successful solo shows in Brighton, Bristol & London aswell as being widely collected in Art Fairs and auctions. Her work features in collections in Europe, USA and Asia. Forthcoming exhibitions include two large solo shows planned for 2010 in Australia and France.
